I am a Principal at McInnes Wilson Lawyers, having joined the firm in 2011. I have extensive experience in insurance litigation and dispute resolution, and enjoy working on complex and challenging claims.
Having worked in a number of practice areas, I was drawn to the Personal Services by the complex and diverse array of claims and the challenges they each pose.
The consequences of events on my client’s lives can be significant - each case is an opportunity for me to improve the lives of my clients and their families. I get satisfaction knowing that I have made a difference in their lives.
I have a particular interest in birth trauma claims and claims involving traumatic brain injuries. I have a passion for cycling and respresenting cyclists on our roads.
I am passionately associated with Brain Injury Australia and the Brain Injury Foundation. I have worked closely with Queensland's preeminent cycling organisation, Bicycle Queensland, proudly for almost 9 years now.
Prior to joining the personal services team at McInnes Wilson Lawyers, I practiced across a variety of areas of law including:-

In 2015 I completed my Bachelor of Law with honours at James Cook University Townsville. During this time not only did I learn the theory behind the law but I had also been fortunate to obtain some legal experience in a family law practice in our local community of Townsville. To further my career prospects in the legal profession, I completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law in August 2016. I’ve previously worked at Slater and Gordon Lawyers as a Senior Legal Assistant and Suncorp Insurance as a CTP Claims Advisor. I’ve had both Defendant and Plaintiff experience. I am certified in Mental Health First Aid and and on 16 October 2017 I was admitted to the Legal Profession as a Lawyer. With my achievements and positions, I have gained a wealth of experience to be a successful, hardworking and dedicated lawyer.

Law and Business (Human Resources) Student | Law Clerk at McInnes Wilson Lawyers
I am currently a final year student at the Queensland University of Technology and studying a Bachelor of Business (Human Resources major) and Laws (Honours).
Currently employed as a law clerk in the Plaintiff team at McInnes Wilson Lawyers, I assist with personal injury matters at all stages. Previously, I was employed as a law clerk and secretary at a boutique law firm specialising in construction, commercial dispute resolution and commercial insolvency. I have almost 3 years of experience as a personal assistant to three barristers at one of Brisbane’s largest commercial barristers’ chambers, North Quarter Lane Chambers. I have also had the opportunity to participate in the Barry.Nilsson. vacation clerkship program where I undertook placements in both the insurance and family law teams. My interests also extend to the consulting sector, having completed the Deloitte vacationer program for management consulting in the Monitor Deloitte strategy team.
